My Story
Business CEO, Leadership professional and mindfulness champion Marc Rowley feels at home talking openly with anybody about anything but especially mental health.

A humorous and passionate conversationalist who wears his heart on his sleeve, he has been talking openly about, and teaching, Mindfulness, mental strengthening, and meditation across UK businesses for the past 15 years.

Marc’s mental strength started very young due to his dyslexia. His school, nor parents, had access to any information about it, so just assumed Marc was not academic or bright. Knowing he wasn’t stupid and being frustrated by a system that didn’t accommodate his ways of thinking, he learnt to memorise words and used mind maps to learn.

Later on, in life that mental strength was challenged with the birth of 2 daughters. Having 2 children come into your world is supposed to be the best days of your life. Unfortunately for Marc this was not the case. He had highly stressful/demanding jobs, poor coping mechanisms and a reliance on drinking and smoking.
His body was constantly complaining of this destructive lifestyle and producing all sorts of aliments to slow him down. In the space of 12 months he was diagnosed with high blood pressure, glandular fever and multiple bouts of tonsillitis. Following this consistent destruction, he was later diagnosed as suffering from post-viral fatigue, stress and was bed ridden for around 4 months.

With a broken body and brain, and vowing never to be like that again, Marc has spent the next years of his life becoming stronger mentally and physically. Absorbing everything to do with mind management Marc started learning how to mediate. However, it was frustrating not being able to experience that inner calmness, he found when meditating, in the day to day grind of work. This was when the search for “living in the now” commenced.

Studies continued to enhance his understanding of how the brain worked and how to manage it to its fullest potential. Everything he learnt empowered him and he grew stronger each day using the new skills. He even started to be known as a ‘calming influence’ at work and work colleagues remarked on his ability to deal with all sorts of perceived stressful situations and even commented on wanting to learn how to obtain his “inner Zen”.

Marc’s years of “living in the now”, a MSc in Leadership and Management and natural problem-solving abilities has helped to create a consultancy business that is looking to help all organisations become the best versions of themselves.

Having so much passion for mental stability, he also offers Mindfulness in the workplace sessions for all his customers and is looking to support local mental health charities as well. Basically, wherever the message can be heard, Marc will be there.
